Milena Fay
Principal
Milena Fay is the Founder and Principal Designer of Matte & Gloss Interiors, a full-service residential interior design studio serving Chicago, the North Shore, and select projects beyond.
Originally trained in graphic design, Milena's perspective was shaped by more than two decades of living and traveling throughout Asia, including Tokyo and Taipei. Through ten international relocations, she developed a deep appreciation for thoughtful space planning, cultural influences, and homes that balance beauty with everyday living.
After returning to the United States in 2012, she earned her degree in Interior Design and refined her expertise while working with Stark alongside respected designers. She later co-founded Roeser-Fay Interiors before launching Matte & Gloss Interiors in 2019.
Having called ten homes across Asia and North America her own, Milena understands that a home is far more than a beautiful space—it's a reflection of the life lived within it. She believes the most meaningful homes are thoughtfully collected over time. By listening first, honoring the pieces that matter most, and designing around the way her clients truly live, she creates interiors that feel timeless, personal, and effortlessly lived in.
